Ornithologists unite!
So, last tuesday Olbaid's trusty cat Stolle was feeling a bit peckish, so he suggested we'd take the whole family out to TK to hunt some birds. Said and done, those pesky packs of filthy fowl were soon resting in the bellys of our hunter pets. By then the rest of us were getting hungry too and we noticed this big glowing bird floating above our heads taunting us with its juicy goodness. We sent some bucket heads to hold it while the enchanted pixies shot glittering stars from their magic wands to turn it into a self-ressurecting chicken-spit. The rest of us kinda just ran around killing her young *shrug*. Eventually she died, and got up, and died again. It was glorious, we had found an everlasting source of food! *cheer* The meat was a bit too well done ofc, but what can you expect, really^^
All in all the canarie god didn't put up much of a fight this time around, and she went down in the first try. Her ashes finding its way into our eyes was probably more painful then her meteors tbh. But that wasn't always the case. We owe alot to our brave recon teams, heroicly defying failing internet connections and their own tired brains learning her secrets. To the fallen (and disconnected), I salute thee!

The Lurker Below Sunday Sushi-BBQ!
When you fish upon a star! (or any other Raid Symbol)
Sunday is usually when we slack off in Karazhan, but this particular Sunday found a full raid line-up online and hungry. Not hungry for the usual horse meat they serve at Medivh's place. No, we wanted something different. Azies suggested Sushi at this place down by the lakes, and we all liked the idea.
The place had some kind of self-service system and we had to literally fight our way to a free table. Djeveln and Womanizor got their rods out while the rest of us waited for the food. We ordered the "Family size" sushi plate, and I must say they weren't lying, this was one big goldfish!
It took a while getting used to but in the end it was inevitable that we'd eat it all, we simply rocked too hard last night. All of us....except Baek who doesn't really like fancy food (click screenshot, Itchi brought his camera)
We had some time after dinner to go check out Morogrim's place and he seems like an allright guy. His friends were kind of annoying though, so I hope they won't be there when we go visit him next time -.-

Elementals, my dear Watson!
Hydross has been a thorn in our eye for quite some time now so writing this update feels particularly good. After a slow summer and a lingering lack of raiders, we finally got a second chance at besting this watery brute. It took us a few tries to find the right rythm, but once we did we all felt it was only a matter of time before he went down. And down he went.
Competing for ugliest gear was our 2 Hydross tanks alongside us druids on the adds. My Mullet Hat had nothing on Azies' Valkyrie costume. But it got the job done.
The big guy was obviously off his meds, and in the end he just fell apart completely. And as proof of his insanity he left gear for Ravea!? I mean who does that? o.O
This makes our belated entrance into SSC official so we have no excuses anymore. We're shifting into raid gear!
This force of nature met its match in a rowdy bunch of blood thirsty buckaneers<3

This was our second outing (not counting Lolly's recent outing at a Dk-Lan) to TK:The Eye, and easy as the Ravea..Reaver may be, we still had to work for our loot. Let me share with you my most personal diary of our visit:
Dear diary!
Today me and the gang were hanging out at Gruul's place when Azies suddenly got the idea to sneak into one of the high life places up in Netherstorm, some place called The Eye. So we got in our best going-away clothes and went for a peek.
It was a big place, but you wouldn't know that if you saw the crowded hallways. Reminded me a bit of british architecturing actually. Anyways.
In the hallway we were greeted by the members of the Tempest Keep Gentlemen's club. Their whole act was boring and we felt most of them were, quite frankly, sheepish. As we came to the main hall we learned that it is apparantly "in" amongst the noblesse to keep large flocks of exotic pet birds. I just wish they had the sense to keep them locked up. My fuzzy muzzle full of feathers and bird poo I started regretting going here in the first place. Boomkin got so sad that he left:/ And like that wasn't enough, the rest of the gang had me stand wayyy back from them cause I smelled like crap. *sigh*
The rest of my evening was pretty much the same - "stand here, tank the circle", and everyone else is on the other side of the room. When we finally made it to the guy throwing the party I was fully expecting to be given a lonely corner to stand in, watching for invisible adds or something. But I actually got to run in the center, looking all powerful together with the bucket boys. \o/
Mr. Reaver gave our melee's a pretty good pounding, but not so bad that it killed them. They'll still walk to church on sunday and all. Our dress wearing friends got a good workout for once which I think only did them good. They are starting to get a bit fat back there, standing idle with their wands or whatnot. Oh well, the party ended before midnight, and the cheapskate host only brought enough candy for three of us, so we had to argue about it. Azies got one I think, he's just a big bully who never shares:/
We didn't have a full raid, but that didn't stop us. The thought of having a 3rd boss at ~50% but not yet downed was just too much for us:) Fantastic job everyone! Here's the bear saying "you did good"!<3
We reaved all his loot and now he has nothing but void left<3

Well, what can I say. This was the first full night we had on him due to some summer slack lately. The raid night started out less than perfect, but that ofc meant it could only get better. Which it did. A lot!
It took us nearly two hours to get control over the adds, but the first attempt where we did so, he went down like a good little Pit Lord. We owe alot to modern science, and another lot to German efficiency^^
I guess it just goes to show that all that playing with Lego when we were small really paid of. Not to mention the Rubiks Cube:) Great work guys'n gals, now we can hold our heads high moving to SSC and beyond!

Rematch!
We've been waiting for this one! Logging on and we were exactly 25 ppl online. After some last minute flask making (*cough* slackers *cough*) we were ready to start the learning (aka wiping). We had some pretty damn fast wipes in there, but not sure if they were good enough to be server records^^ But once we got the pull sorted out, and the initial aggros somewhat where we wanted, Maulgar and his posse didn't pose much of a threat anymore. He dropped his big lollipop and some kind of reimbursable token *shrug*
Onward to the big guy! The Guru himself! I think the first try was just to see how high the Shatter would go if we all bunched up in the middle. It went pretty high-.- After that we took him on a few times and managed to get him to 4%, so we realized we had a pretty good chance of clearing the entire place in the first real run ever. That was strangely motivating. So we pushed on, and when we had just enough raid time left for a last try, we nailed his sorry ass! The last few percentages tanked by the hairy ass of yours truly, btw, so take your crushing blows and shove 'em:)
Forgive me a brief sentimental note here. Gruul's Lair. The Onyxia of our time. We went in there once, about a month ago after clearing Karazhan for the first time. We only got 2 hours that time, and lost alot of important people shortly after. While struggling to get new members in we've kept saying that if we only get back in there, we'll clear the place out in notime.
Yeah, we were confident. And now we got the people, so we had to put our money where our mouth was. And so we did. And now they're dead. Both of 'em. 'Cause we rock! It feels good to be right, doesn't it?
Yesterday we were a guild that was doing Karazhan, now we are a guild that is working on attunement for SSC. That's quite a big jump to make overnight. Insanely kickass effort from everyone!

Nightbane Dead - Karazhan cleared! (and Animal bosses)
Finally!
After some 4-5 weeks of struggling with getting things in order, we had our first opportunity to go for Nightbane. It took a few tries to get comfortable with the encounter but once we used consumables it wasn't much of a problem. He only dropped some caster loot so we went down into the basement for the *REAL* challenge of ANIMAL BOSSES!
Sadly, that didn't give any end-game gear for this poor dr00d, but we'll be back! Oh, we'll be back! *shakes fist*
I don't care how much they nerfed him, I'm still proud of you all<3
